Craving Shrimp Tacos

Writer's picture: MARINA GRAHAMMARINA GRAHAM

Hello,

I had taste for some tacos, but no ground beef for the meat only shrimp! Taco is one of my favorite food, one thing about a taco, it don't call for too much ingredients inside the hard or soft shell it's however you decide. Let's get started!

Ingredients:

  1. Cooked shrimp

  2. Soft tortillas

  3. Fresh cilantro (topping)

  4. Coleslaw

  5. Coleslaw dressing

  6. Southwest dipping sauce  (you can purchase one that is already been made)

  7. Cocktail sauce

  8. Lime slices

  9. Olive oil  (any cooking oil)

  10. Shredded Coconut (topping)

Introductions:

Coleslaw:

I purchase my coleslaw already been chopped and pack only thing I had to do was to add coleslaw dressing. I pour about 1 tbsp of coleslaw dressing, to the coleslaw. Mix it up!

I want my coleslaw to be crunchy that's why I didn't put too much of the dressing in the mix. Place in the refrigerator until it was time to eat. This also can be done the night before.

Cooking shrimp:

If you purchase raw shrimp, shrimp is easy to cook. All you need is an pan, 1/4 tbsp cooking oil.

Wash the shrimp and place it on top of a paper towel to take some of the excess water from the shrimp.

I season the shrimp with old bay, dried parsley, salt free original seasoning, black pepper and salt, and add thyme.

Once the oil is hot, go head and place the shrimp inside the pan.

It only take about 3-4 minutes, once you see the shrimp curl up and pink its done.

The Southwest Dipping Sauce:

The southwest dipping sauce can be purchase at any grocery that make their own dipping sauce, or carries it.

Shredded Coconut and Fresh Cilantro

Go head and add some shredded coconut and cilantro to the taco(s)

Everything has been made and ready to layer.

Cocktail, don't have to be in the ingredient I did it for the taste on the shrimp. It's an option.

Enjoy!!!!
